OF Э Л И Т А

Э Л И Т А is written in Cyrillic and pronounced ELITA. In English, it means ELITE.

The name grew from my long-standing interest in Eastern European history and culture. I was drawn to the visual character of the Cyrillic alphabet and how its unfamiliar letterforms could carry language, identity, and meaning across cultures and borders.

That interest led me to study the language and the world surrounding it more deeply. I began learning how to speak, read, and spell while exploring books about the history, architecture, and cultures of that part of the world. At the same time, I experimented with translating English words into Cyrillic, searching for something visually powerful that could carry the same weight in any language.

ELITE became ELITA, and ELITA became Э Л И Т А.

Three visual forms. One meaning.

The name became permanent because of what the word itself represents. Elite is not confined to one country, culture, or language. Anywhere in the world, elite still means elite. It represents distinction, discipline, elevation, and the pursuit of a higher standard.

The sound and movement of Э Л И Т А have equally deep roots. House and electronic music have been present in my household for my entire life. Breaking, history, architecture, and the study of other cultures have also shaped the way I see the world. Long before the brand existed, these influences created the atmosphere around me through rhythm, repetition, tension, movement, and the ability to communicate without explanation. That creative world now lives within the identity of Э Л И Т А.

Э Л И Т А was built in Texas, but its earliest movements have already crossed borders.

The journey began in Monterrey, Mexico, through the sponsorship of a b-boy event organized with Omar. Breaking was one of the first cultures to show me how movement, originality, and respect could connect people beyond language and geography. Supporting that event brought Э Л И Т А into the culture that first expanded my creative world and established the beginning of a lasting relationship with Monterrey.

The vision continued through a creative relationship with Belarusian artist KEELSE. Her music carries the darkness, tension, energy, and emotion that naturally belong within the world of Э Л И Т А. Her trust in the direction allowed her sound to become part of the brand’s atmosphere, connecting Houston and Belarus through a shared creative language.

This relationship is only the beginning. Future work will extend beyond music into imagery, physical pieces, and continued creative collaboration.

The foundation of Э Л И Т А was also built through the support of friends and family in Houston and elsewhere. They believed in the vision during its earliest stages, offered their encouragement, and helped give the brand the strength to move forward. What began as a personal instinct became something larger because of the people who recognized its potential before the rest of the world could see it.

Э Л И Т А is Mexican American in its foundation, Texan in its construction, and international in its vision. It is shaped by the places, cultures, sounds, and people that have entered my world, but it belongs to no single border.

Everything has been built in silence.

And it will continue to be.
